We've lived in the same neighborhood as Brent, Liz and Dave for a decade, seeing Brent at least once a week at the dog park. Brent always lifted out day with his kind words, sage advice or hilarious story... his intelligence and kindness always apparent. He will be deeply missed. Our hearts and minds are with you during this bereaved time.

Brent and Liz were our next door neighbors for several years and we shared many happy times together as families. When I think of Brent I immediately smile. He was a lot of fun and full of kindness . We miss you Brent.
Much love,
Gael and Don Matsune
I really enjoyed our conversations at the Eau Claire Y when Brent returned from overseas assignment with Shell. He was always smiling. My condolences to Brent’s family.
Brent and I were engineering students at Dalhousie and Tech and I have many memories of the good times we had. Please my sympathies on Brent's passing.
Brent and I travelled across Canada together way back in 1979 after graduating from Engineering - just because we thought it was a good idea. Although we have not kept in touch over the years, I remember that trip well. My condolences to the whole family.
Brent will be sorely missed - his gentle humour, astute evaluations, positive attitude and willingness to discuss things important to the Scarboro Community and the City as a whole ...... eager to be involved reinforced by his deep smile. This is a huge loss for all those who had the great fortune to know him - our sincere condolences to his family. Kim / Harvey Bernbaum
Dear Elizabeth and family,
I am so very sad to hear that Brent passed away. It really is something special that not only was he your husband of over 40 years but that he truly was your best friend. Hopefully that knowledge will be of comfort to you. He was loved and in return loved all of you.
Elizabeth and family. Kim, I and Andrew are so saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Brent. I always enjoyed our many conversations on a variety of topics in Triangle Park as Bella and Bear played with his beloved Jasper. He had a wonderful sense of humour. Our Scarboro community will greatly miss his talents and inputs. Our thoughts and prayers are withn you.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Brent. Our condolences to Liz and the boys. Both John and I always looked forward to talking with Brent in our many walks in Scarboro. Brent was so wise and witty and I loved hearing his outlook on the many topics we talked about. I appreciated all the time and energy he put in with the Scarboro planning committee. Please know that he will always be remembered in the community.
Elizabeth and family - I am sorry for your loss. Brent was clearly invested in family and community. While I have some history with the Scarboro community, I know Brent directly only through the relatively recent work on the ad hoc “Concerned Calgarians” civic group and seeing his passion for that bit of business. Our city is lessened by his early passing. Sincerely, Chris Davis
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Brent. He was a grand gentleman whom I will miss greatly. I have fond memories of the countless meetings we shared as part of the Scarboro Community Association when we first met on the planning committee. I'll always cherish his passion for both volunteering and for Scarboro, his sense of humor, his practical wisdom, and his storytelling. Our thoughts go out to Elizabeth and the entire family during this difficult time. Please know we are thinking of you.
With heartfelt sympathies,
Karin & Jack
It is so hard to believe that the Fraser family and Scarboro has lost this dear and amazing soul, Brent. It has been a joy and certainly a privilege to work with Brent these past four years on the Board of the Scarboro Community Association. Brent stepped into community work right away after he moved into the neighbourhood. He was kind, respectful, patient, diligent and always 'available' and 'present'. He listened, asked many questions, spoke up and gave so much of his time and talents to Scarboro. I can only imagine how many Shell colleagues and friends he impacted over his career. It was a great honour to know Brent and to work with him. He will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to the whole Fraser family. Take good care.
So sorry to hear of Brent’s passing. A warm and lovely person who I always enjoyed chatting with when Penny would stop by your house for a treat and a visit with Jasper. Sending love to his family.
Brent was a gentle, loyal, kind soul with a great sense of humour. We are honoured to have known him and called him our friend. He made our community a better place to live. We will miss him.
