Dear McCaffery family,
This is a lovely tribute, and the truest statement in it for me is “she never met a stranger.” The first time I met Charlotte, I instantly thought “oh, I like her!” She was a wonderful, gentle presence, warm and generous, and I always enjoyed visiting with her. She and Dennis treated our family like we were their own. That’s a rare and precious thing. Many times they warmly opened their home up to my parents and frequently they spoke on the phone. It's hard to put a value on that kind of friendship. Charlotte was a bright light and will be sorely missed.
