Obituary of Robert (Bob) Francis Fardy

May 13, 1959 - St. John's, Newfoundland

February 8, 2024 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Francis Fardy on Thursday, February 8, 2024.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, Francis (Frank) Fardy of St. John’s, NL, and Mary (Howlett) of Witless Bay, NL. Bob will forever be remembered by his daughter Alix, and siblings, John (Sharon), Keith (Maureen), Karen, Frank (Patti), Noel (Allyson), and Noreen.

It is fair to say Bob had a zest for life, especially in his younger years. Never at a loss for words, he loved travel, music, books, food, and wine. We are certain many of his friends and family can recall being served a gourmet meal with wine accompaniment. Wherever Bob worked, he became a passionate advocate for his current playlist and the books he loved. He frequented the Ship & Anchor Pub on Saturday afternoons enjoying live music and discovering new artists. We know his many friends and our cousins will remember Bob for his sharp wit and humour.

No service will be held at this time. We plan to gather at a later date to celebrate the life that was Bob’s.
