The memories are faded of the 3 musketeers in the early days in Regina with Bruce as our fearless leader in whatever vehicle he drove. His timing was always perfect for a little joke or cheeky fun! What I remember most was his ability to sit back and allow others to shine with his quiet compassion. We were blessed with wonderful grandparents as role models and Bruce always made the effort to go and spend time with them no matter how busy or far away he lived. Family was important to him and the invite to visit California to enjoy the beautiful yard and pool was always open. I never got there- but he did invite me to play WordFeud with him, another opportunity to keep in touch (but my favorite word was catchup) as hard as I tried I just couldn't catch up to him! One of the most touching memories I have is at Grandpa's funeral, as I was walking along suddenly footsteps were beside me, and Bruce took my hand as we walked the long road to the gravesite. Not a word spoken as we were immersed in our own thoughts of the two great people we were saying goodbye to that day. Bruce inherited those same caring characteristics that will be greatly missed. I wish blessings of peace and comfort to all of your family Bruce.
I'm sure there's a crib board in heaven- and many games played!
