Celebration of Life
Condolences
David was the kindest soul I met at EMS and always had a smile and warm hello. I did work with him a few times in my career and am sorry for your loss.
I first met Dave when he joined our golf group, PTS, on our yearly trip to Red Deer. I told Dave that his invitation was subject to approval of the organizing committee. I was just pulling his leg. However for the rest of golf trip Dave kept asking me if he was approved. Of course Dave continued to join us on all golf trips to Red Deer until he was no longer able to golf. I found Dave to be a very friendly guy easy to talk and joke with not only at PTS but anytime I met him. Dave you will be missed.

Dave was my preceptor back in 2005 when I was finishing up my Paramedicine education. He was always patient and had a great way of explaining stuff without making me ever feel inadequate. Always encouraging Dave also had a great sense of humour. His compassion and empathy for his patients, students and colleagues was palpable. Thank you for sharing Dave will all of us in EMS. We became better practitioners because of him…Angela Castellarin BSc, ACP Calgary Metro D Platoon
Many years ago, Dave wanderer into a townhouse I was open housing in the west side of Calgary, he had a few questions and a look around. From that day on, thru 15 plus years we would connect again and again as his life changed, as Sydney and Doug grew, as Shirley and he launched their lives together. He always had a kind word, quick smile and wicked sense of humor.
Shirley, Doug, Sydney, I am so very sad to hear this news of your loss. I often think of Dave and smile, knowing I was blessed to have met him. What a wonderful guy!
Such a wonderful man, always so caring and compassionate. He really did brighten any room he entered. He will be missed by so many.
To live in the hearts of those we love, is not to die.
Dave will live on forever in our hearts. There were just so many levels to Dave, it’s hard to know where to start. He was the kindest, most caring, most accepting person there ever was. Friends and strangers alike, recognized this and gravitated to him. He never passed judgement on anyone and accepted everyone at face value. He enjoyed a good meal accompanied by a nice glass of red, especially if surrounded by friends. But he was more than that. With his calm, quiet manner, he was our rock, our anchor that kept us moored on rough seas.
To say that you have made a huge impact on our lives would be an understatement. We will hold our memories close until we see you again.
Meet you at the pool, don’t push me in this time
