Condolences
They broke the mold when you were born dad, and no one on this earth can hold a candle to you. You gave us unlimited life lessons and countless business ones too. We spent so many days out back around the firepit in warm months and in front of the fireplace when it was too cold to be outside.
Your cooking skills became legendary and celebrations wouldn't be the same without your turkeys. You touched the lives of everyone you met and given the opportunity and time, changed them for the better. You were so easy and flawless doing that - enriching people without them even noticing. You always looked at the fun side of life and seized every opportunity to enjoy it. You shared that passion with us and I'm forever grateful to look at life that way. Thank you.
You taught us how to love and be loved. You gave us inspiration to try anything! I still remember the time I told you I had done some "extras" work on a couple TV shows. You were so pleased! "So, you were an actor?! That's very good." You raised us to be well-rounded human beings and take chances to grow - both personally and professionally.
I remember the look of love, support and utter heart-break when I told you I was moving out east. It was incredibly hard but it opened a door to come out with Rob and build something for ourselves. I wouldn't be where I am today without that love and support. Endless thank yous.
I will miss your smile, laugh and quick wit with a touch of sarcasm. I will miss your enveloping, warm hugs. There's so very many things I will miss about you there just aren't enough words or time to list everything. You were a remarkable man that changed our worlds for the better. I will continue to live the way you taught me and hopefully be able to change a few worlds of my own. I know I will always have your voice in the back of my mind, as I have for decades. Your words of wisdom and comfort will remain with me and guide me through the next chapters of my life and I will be eternally grateful I was so lucky to have you as my dad.
All my love,
Laurel (and Robert Firlotte)

Dear Violet and family… Though words are simply words and seem rather meaningless at healing emotions, please allow us this attempt. We were the fortunate ones who crossed paths with Gerry throughout our lives. From weekly bbq’s, playing cards, preparing and shipping out waterbeds to countless amazing family gatherings, know that Gerry will always hold a special place in our memories and in our hearts. Ours hearts are broken too. With much love… Ed & Doug
