Condolences
My very favorite nurse and I told her that each time I came in. I’m so sorry for your loss.
It was such a pleasure to work with Janice in the High River ER. She was a lovely lady, with a great attitude. It was always a pleasure to be on shift with her there. She was a genuinely nice human being!
Janice was an amazing nurse and friend. She was always supportive and great fun to be on a shift with. I remember setting up croup tents, dealing with whatever full moons brought on and visiting in the break room. When Linda T., myself and Janice were all expecting our first grandchildren with months of each other I can envision her madly crocheting blankets. She made one for my grandchild as well. She liked to walk up behind you and peer over your shoulder until you noticed her and then giggle. When she was on you knew it was going to be a good shift.
My sympathies to her family. She will be greatly missed.
JW...you were the best! Unflappable no matter what chaos was unfolding around us. Kind, compassionate, caring, funny...and that smile and laugh! What a privilege to have known you since your first day at High River Hospital. To have learned from your example...truly an honor to have worked with the best , and what we all strive to be as nurses.
My sincere condolences to her family...she was so proud of you all
I am so sad to hear of the loss of Miss Janice, fondly called JW by her co-workers. She was truly one of the best nurses I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I know that everyone who worked with JW would agree that she was exceptional. She was so kind, compassionate and treated everyone as an equal. Her sense of humor cracked me up. Sometimes you didn’t know if she was serious or not and then she would give a cheeky little grin which made her comment even funnier!
Miss Janice, rest in peace. You will be missed by so many.
My sincere condolences to her family who she loved and spoke of so highly of.
I will never forget working with Janice in High River Emergency. She was an amazing colleague and mentor to so many people and really encouraged her colleagues to reach their potential. I will always appreciate her sly little jokes, followed by a grin and her cute giggle. She made everyone’s day brighter.
Janice was an incredible person as a friend and a mentor. Because of Janice and her encouragement i am where I am now. She was my mentor and my friend. Condolences to her family she was always sharing stories and you could feel how proud she was of her family❤️
“I close my eyes only for a moment and the moments gone” … the moments shared with Janice AKA JW Nurse extraordinaire will forever be remembered with fondness and warmth. This is because I hold such admiration for a truly incredible woman. A lovely friend and an exceptional Nurse who lead and managed with humility, strong morals, ethics, compassion, intelligence, common sense, kindness, humour, and fun living playfulness. She had unwavering standards and provided those she cared for with a level of dignity that is unsurpassed by any nurse I have ever met, she always saw the humanity in others. She was a realist who walked the talk. She created a camaraderie that made our workplace a home. It is with such incredible sadness I send my condolences to her family. We all feel we knew pieces of you as Janice shared her love of you all with us. She was so proud to speak of you all and your accomplishments. She radiated pride when she spoke of her children and grandchildren as we shared the moments of our lives with each other. I wish her peace and I hope you all know she mattered so much and made such a positive difference in so many ways to so many people. Her smile, her giggle and her hugs are moments I will always cherish.
I am so so saddened by the passing of Janice. I called her my work momma. She taught me so much and I will be forever grateful for the years I worked alongside her. We had so many laughs together and she was a shoulder for so many of my tears. I will miss her deeply and am sending condolences to her family at this difficult time. Janice was an amazing human, nurse, and friend.
