Obituary of Marjorie Will (nee Hill)

June 10, 1930 – Winnipeg, Manitoba
October 4, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Marjorie Will passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the age of 89 years in Calgary, AB where she had moved to in 2013 to be closer to her children and grandchildren.

 Marjorie grew up in Garson, MB where one of her favorite activities was swimming in the Tyndall limestone quarries.  She met her husband of fifty-three years, George Will, in Pine Falls, MB after George had moved there from Saskatchewan to be closer to his father and step-mother.  A year after getting married, in 1955, they moved to Saskatoon where Marjorie worked at the Royal Bank to put George through engineering college.  In 1963, they moved to Regina where Marjorie lived for the next forty-nine years. Marjorie became a passionate artist in her early 40’s and she won many ribbons and sold numerous paintings and drawings at Saskatchewan art shows.  Her art is now among her family’s most prized possessions, as is George’s pottery.  Marjorie and George became very involved members of Regina’s art community which brought them much joy.  

Marjorie is survived by her loving children Karen Chow (Ron) and Rob Will (Debbie); and grandchildren Erica, Dana, and Cassandra.  

Marjorie was predeceased by her husband George; and brothers, Robert Hill and Gordon Hill.

A Celebration of Marjorie’s Life will be held at Earl Grey Golf Course (6540 - 20 Street SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
