Condolences
Eddie was one of the ole Ritchie Bros legends and the type of guy entrepreneurial companies are built from. From an early career in PG, Eddie moved to Texas and started his conquering of the US South albeit he was pretty sure the area he managed no boundaries when it came to getting consignments for the auction.
He was extremely well-liked by his co-workers, employees and customers and many fond memories and stories are still heard today.
May he watch over many more auctions !!
Our sincere condolences - Rob & Joanne Mackay
I remeber Ed for his rosy, optimistic view of life and that everything was enjoyable and fun whether work or social. He was a pleasure to be with. I particularly noted how he cared for and looked after those that reported to him. He was a gentleman always and will be missed.

Uncle Ed was a one of a kind and I’m so grateful for the memories I have of him and Auntie Dorothy. I will always remember his smile and his laugh. Wishing I was with family today to celebrate his life. Sending his family love and condolences on this day. Much love, Sarah
Jeanette and I have all the Banser Family in our thoughts today as they lay their patriarch to rest. Ed devoted his life to others by working tirelessly from a young age up to and through his retirement years. His ability to overcome hardship and disappointment were shrouded by a his effervescent character. Ed extolled the mantra “ it’s not the size of the hammer, it’s how well you use “, up for any challenge be it mental or physical. He had an unique concept about rules, apparently on how they applied to others but not himself. This combined with his “ yabba-sabbath- do “ war cry made him enduring to all who knew him. Although we will be with family and friends to say goodbye today, our hearts are. RIP Ed.
