Obituary of Daniel Leo Martin

July 30, 1947 – Ottawa, Ontario

April 4, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

No words can express the deep sorrow of the sudden passing of Daniel (Dan) Martin on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 76 years of age.

Dan is survived by many friends, family, and the love of his life for forty-eight years, Linda (Grey-Martin). He came from a large family of loving siblings, Donna (Bill Larkin), Patrick (Dorri), Steve (Lynn), Joe (Anne), Bernie, Paula (Dale Fullerton), Francis, Theresa, Mike (Debbie), and Brian (Penny); as well as thirty-six nieces and nephews. Dan is predeceased by his sister Linda and parents, Lou and Francis Martin.

Dan connected with people with his outgoing personality, quick wit and sense of humor, and great culinary skills, bringing people together and always thinking of others. He will be truly missed by many; his family, numerous friends, and his forever-loving life partner, Linda. 

Dan leaves behind many loving and fond memories and will never be forgotten. 

A small family gathering has taken place. A Celebration of Dan’s Life will follow in the coming weeks.
