Obituary of Daneil Yvonne Lechman

November 11, 1970 – Wadena, Saskatchewan

April 7, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Our loving husband and father, Daneil Yvonne Lechman of Calgary, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the age of 53 years.

Dan was born in Wadena, SK on November 11, 1970, to Anthony and Evangeline Lechman. Dan and his wife Dalibenys were married in 2004 and enjoyed nineteen lovely years together. Dan was a proud and loving father to two beautiful girls, Jelena (19) and Sophia (16). His wife and daughters were his pride and joy. Dan loved being with family and friends and celebrating special occasions.

Dan had a great love of sports and loved to coach both his daughter’s softball teams. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a loving nature. Dan’s adventurous spirit and love of socializing and celebrating special occasions brought him into many other lives where he will forever be in their hearts and minds.

Dan was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Evangeline. He leaves to mourn his wife Daly and his daughters Jelena and Sophia. Brothers Tom (Mercedes), James, Lynde (LeeAnn) and sister Lauree (Greg), and nephews Deyland, Jeremiah, Aaron, Dallas, Anthony, Alex, and Elijah; and nieces Vanessa, Darnelle, Brooklynn, and Cienna. Dan was loved by many and will be missed by many.

The family would like to extend a thank you for your attendance and support during this time.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Reception to follow at CKE Community Centre (1015 73 Ave SW, Calgary, AB) from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Daneil’s service streamed live (see link below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
