I think of Dr. Kim every day. She was incredibly inspirational, creative, and funny. Her Tik Toks were pertinent, but each exuded an important message. I didn’t know Kim, but I feel like I did. I think of her all the time, and the lessons she taught us all. Sending love to her family and pets.
We will continue to remember you Dr. Kimberly. You left us very early yet there was still had a lot to achieve.
Like so many people I followed Kim on Tiktok. It broke my heart to hear of her passing. She was a sweetheart from head to toe. Her infectious smile, attitude and personality drew you in like a magnet. She taught us all to love life and be grateful for every moment. And she raised awareness of sarcoma cancer, an awareness that will continue to grow even in her absence. That's how special she was. My condolences to her friends, family and husband. Rest in peace sweet angel.
Kim fought the fight with courage, dignity and even a touch of humor. My deepest, most sincere condolences to all her family. May Kim’s bright light continue to shine in all of you.
So saddened to hear of Kim's passing. I followed her on her Tic Tok account. She was a source of hope and inspiration. A true positive soul. Kim's family remain in my thoughts and prayers.
A beautiful, burning, light that will forever shine. Thank you Kim for teaching me how to be grateful every single day ❤️
I am one of the many people who followed Kim's story on TikTok. I hope her family and friends will find some small amount of comfort in the thousands of lives she touched through social media. Kim truly has a network all over this world of people who wished her well in life and wish her peace in death. She was so bright, kind, and caring. I was in awe of her ability to inform and educate even while dealing with such a difficult illness. She was a gift; thank you for sharing her with us. Rest in peace, Dr. Kim!
I saw about her passing and was shocked, I am in South Africa, started following her on tick tock and loved her energy and the awareness she was sharing on her platform. The things she was each day and grateful of and shared,
Thank you to the family and the husband for sharing her last years with us and we felt like we were part her and her journey
May her soul rest in peace and condolences to the family

Dear Michael & family,
My husband Matthew went to med school with Kim and I met her at various events - she was so full of life and such a complete joy to be around. After not hearing any updates on her illness (and not being on TikTok ourselves) we assumed things had turned out for the better. I was so shocked and heartbroken when I heard the news that Kim had passed away - I had no idea she was still ill. My husband also passed away from cancer in 2022 at 32 - it's a cruel tragedy that such wonderful people were taken so very young. Having been through this myself, my heart aches so much for you all <3
Lots of love,
-Rachel, Rory, & Anneliese Foss
Hi Greg and family. My sincere condolences to you and your family

So very sorry to hear of Kim's passing. My thoughts are with you at this diffficult time
Sincere sympathy Greg, Alvina and all family members on the passing of Kim. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
I met Kimberley a few times while visiting my neighbours/friends Deirdre and Grant Nix. Kimberley was at McMaster and told me of her dream of becoming a doctor. She was so warm, engaging and beautiful. Special. And although my contact with her was short, she made a lasting impression. A light in this world. A light that remains with those of us who were lucky to know her, even briefly. My deepest sympathies to her husband, family and friends.
My deepest condolences to her loved ones, I knew Kim from high school years, we were classmates and graduated together, I remember her as a beautiful girl who loves sports, my last year of school I decided to join in the soccer team and enjoy our time together, I also remembered her beautiful voice sing the national anthem in the mornings. Last night in Nova Scotia (May 10 2024) we had the most beautiful northern lights show, it was like it was showing Kim's beautiful soul dancing in the stars. May her dream never die

The Dalhousie Medical Alumni Association would like to express our condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Kimberley Nix (MD '18). She was an incredibly inspiring woman and we are proud to call her our own.
I’m deeply sad! Kim, you’re an angel now. As a person with depression since many years, her positive thoughts, her courage and her love to live and humanity helped me a lot to pass sad moments. Rip!
I saw Kim and leaned about her illness for the first time through one of her social media posts. Although being fully aware of the future outcome, I have been doing nothing but rooting for her, hoping that this lovely lady with stunningly beautiful green eyes would somehow prevail and allow us to enjoy her positivity and intelligence for many more years. We are surely strangers to one another, but I can confidently say that I am proud of Kim's courage to remain calm and cheerful, and most importantly, well-prepared, throughout the ordeal and even during the darkest moments of her battle with the disease. Her lagacy will live on forever. Her efforts to raise awareness about sarcoma will also be appreciated and cherished. Please, accept my condolences and rest in peace, Dr. Nix. When that day comes, I will be looking for you and tell you how grateful I am to have known you.

I don't know how to express in words the pain I feel about Kim's departure. I did not have the pleasure of meeting her personally, but as an oncology patient myself, Kim taught me to be strong and to always try to see the positive in everything. Kim was a being of light who gave light to my life and I will always be grateful to her. My deepest condolences to her beloved husband and her entire family.
Thanks so much kim, I will really mis hearing your sweet voice.

Dr. Kim, you've been the greatest teacher to me on TikTok. You have taught me about the delicate balance between life and death. You spoke of the importance of embracing both, teaching me that death enriches our appreciation for life. You remind me to live fully, love deeply, and cherish every breath I take. Thank you Dr. Kim. May your memory be a blessing.
It's amazing how someone I never met made such a profound impact on my life. Thank you, dear Kimberley, for your transparency and education. You make going to the doctor more comforting. I am sure her objective as a doctor was to make a difference, and she sure did. To her beloved Michael and family members, your angel is at peace. God bless you during this extremely difficult time.
I just happened on Kim's page on tik tok...........sadly, the first one I saw was her final one saying that if we saw that video, she was gone. I went back and watched so so many of her.. What a brave and courageous fighter she was until the very end. I know she brought so much light, love and hope to countless people. Thank you for sharing your strength with us all Kim. May you find peace and wholeness now, rest in peace.
today I am grateful that you Dr. Kim are out of pain , thank you for sharing your journey with us, you are such a beautiful soul.
I got to know Dr Kim via her videos on tiktok, she sparked light, hope, and gratitude even in the face of this devastating journey. Everyday, she shares things she is grateful for. She was such a graceful soul.
Although I am a stranger, I am so saddened by her passing. This makes me wonder what the impact of her passing would be on her loved ones. My condolences to her husband and her parents.
Today, I am grateful that Dr Kim is at peace and free of pain.
I never met Kim in person but followed every new post on her Tik Tok page. She inspired me by her willingness to share her cancer journey to be a better person to myself and to those I love..including those with fur. I feel her loss as if I loved her and I can only imagine the deep grief her loved ones feel at her loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you all as Kim transition to the galaxy of stars that are a wonder to our world as she was in life. K
Kimberley was my first medical student I had as a family physician. She came to Cape Breton for her core family rotation and I was so worried about whether she would have a good learning experience and time. She was outstanding! Such a kind, generous, intelligent and thoughtful person. My patients and my admin Felicia were so impressed and we all knew she would do great things.
I know she loved her family and her husband Michael, I hope so much that you all find peace and comfort in the days and weeks to come and I hope (but am sure) Kimberley knew how much she was loved and admired
