Condolences
Thing I remember most about Nancy was her kindness and great sense of humour. She and Reg were a perfect fit for each other. A true character. She will be missed
I met Nancy in Fort Smith, NWT in 1967. At that time a group of displaced Maritimers (sorry Reg!) met in Fort Smith and became lifelong friends. The four couples; Davies, Campbells, McCallums and Dunphys became the family that we were all missing from back East. Our kids became cousins and the adults, the aunts and uncles.
We partied together, vacationed together, celebrated together and wept together.
Eventually the four couples ended up in Calgary and the fun times continued with parties, dinners, bridge games and many late night discussions.
Nearly 60 years later we still counted each other as our dearest friends. Sadly many have passed on.
In Calgary our group was enhanced by a couple of other couples who also became our best friends.
Nancy, thank you for teaching most of us how to play and enjoy bridge.
Thank you for teaching us courage as we watched you endure your recent health struggles without ever a complaint.
Thank you for your love and support over the years.
Thank you for all the wonderful memories.
I will miss you, Nancy
RIP my friend
I was very privileged to meet and work with Nancy at Nichol Junior High School. She was a mentor who led me from a Special Education teacher to a Guidance Counsellor. I couldn’t have asked for a nicer mentor who became a special friend!
My husband and I became good friends with Nancy and Reg, their family, their friends
from the north and their special neighbours.
We enjoyed many vacations and card games with them all.
Rest in peace Nancy! I loved you very much.
Thanks for being my friend and making my life so special!
