I was so sad to hear the passing of my friend Edith. I met her only 4 months ago, and she brightened my day every time I saw her.

We spent 2 days a week together for the last 4 months. She shared with me where she grew up and her life with Grant. She expressed the love and the memories of their lives together. I also learned they lived one block north of my parents. Edith was a very caring, lovely, smart woman. My 5 year old daughter visited with me many times. She made her beaded things and colored pictures that made Edith smile. I took Edith to visit Grant (Sweetie) in the hospital before he passed. I saw their deep connection first hand. It was exceptional and an eternal love. I'm glad they are together again.

I told her at the hospital she wasn't alone and I was going to be there for her.

It was only 4 months, Edith, but you touched my heart.
