Condolences
Our deepest condolences to Brian, Gina and all of Shirley’s family. We are so sorry for your loss and are keeping you in our thoughts at this difficult time.
Shirley was such a very good friend to my Mom and Dad and we fondly remember spending time with Shirley through the years. Shirley was a second Grandmother to Andrew, and always spoiled him with candy or small gifts (she never showed up empty handed) and she always took a genuine interest into how Andrew was doing and encouraging him as he grew up. We will always cherish the memories of our regular coffees / lunches out to a local café in Calgary or sharing cocktail hour at the cabin in BC and her fondness for rum. If memory serves me correctly, she made the switch from white rum to amber rum sometime in the early 2000s and we often debated whether Coca-Cola or Pepsi was the correct mix for such a cocktail.
I know that Shirley, Murray, and our Mom/GMa, Sheila, are all together now watching over us and that Murray probably can’t get a word in edgewise.
May her memory be a blessing.
Love
Cheryl and Andrew Swan
