Obituary of Maureen Mo Shannon Ouellette

August 6, 2014 – Calgary, AB
Maureen “Mo” Ouellette passed away after a short, but courageous battle with cancer on August 6, 2014.
Maureen was born in CFB Cold Lake, Alberta, on November 18, 1957 and made Calgary her home in 1975. She was a long time employee with The City of Calgary and enjoyed her work, travelling, golf and reading. She will be remembered for her kindness to others, her lovely smile and great sense of humour. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbours.
Besides her loving husband Robert “Bob”, she is survived by her sisters Paula (George), Jo-Ann (Michael) and Arlene (Daryl); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles from Alberta, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
Maureen was predeceased by her parents George “Cy” and Phyllis; as well as her in-laws, Lawrence and Annette Ouellette; and her brother-in-law Gary Ouellette.
A celebration of Maureen’s life will be Shared at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 11 a.m., Mo would love all in attendance to dress casual. In lieu of flowers, If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Southwood Hospice, 211 Heritage Drive SE, Calgary, AB T2H 1M9.
