Obituary of Wendy Anne Jensen

March 3, 1955 – Calgary, Alberta

April 25, 2024 – Red Deer, Alberta

Our beloved sister and aunt passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the age of 69 years at the Red Deer Hospital.

She was predeceased by her parents, Mack Jensen and Amalie ‘Molly’ Jensen (Anton). Wendy is survived by her three siblings, Gayle Breland of Melville, SK, Scott (Brenda) Jensen of Grande Prairie, AB, and Jacquline (Robert) Bell of Red Deer, AB; her seven nieces and nephews and five great-nieces and nephews.

Wendy was born in Calgary, AB on March 3, 1955. She graduated from high school in Valleyview and earned her teaching degree at the University of Alberta. Her teaching career started in Hines Creek and ended when she retired from St. Phillip in Calgary, AB. She moved to Red Deer in 2017 to be closer to her family.

Wendy loved art and was very dedicated to the fine arts program that was implemented at St. Phillip. She was inspired by so many different forms of art and was always willing to share her talents with her students, co-workers and family.

She will be missed by everyone who knew her for her kindness, generosity, and love.

Our family is sincerely grateful to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Red Deer Hospital and the Rimbey Hospital & Care Center for Wendy’s care for the past eight months.
