This news makes me soo incredibly sad. Cheryl was a very special friend and one of the kindest souls that I had ever met. The battle that you fought was a tough one but you never gave up. I am truly going to miss you. Love and hugs to Wayne, and all of the people who cherished your friendship.

I am so sad that my longtime friend and Fish4K colleague Cheryl has passed on. Cheryl you were always there for the people in your life that needed you including your family and friends. Your support for you sister Susan, parents Joan and Murray and sister in law Diane when they needed you most was absolutely amazing. As was your support and dedication in maintaining Susan's Fish4Kenya project after her passing in 2012 and supporting many of Susan's dear friends in Kenya including Hussein Wechuli the manager of Fish4Kenya that Susan hired as an 18 year old in 2005 and his family. Cheryl you were a warrior right to the end setting aside you own health struggles and helping and supporting your family and the Fish4Kenya project until the very end. Thanks for everything Cheryl and rest in peace!

So very sorry to hear of this sad news….I did not know Cheryl well but got to know her better while helping a mutual friend. Since her illness I think of her often and have kept her in my thoughts and prayers. Every time I pass Henderson corner I think of her, as I remember seeing her beautiful black horse with the silver mane and tail in the field there.Cheryl will be missed by so many here in Dawson City! Condolences to her family and close friends.
I am so saddened to learn of Cheryl's death and wish to extend heartfelt condolences of all of her loved ones. We worked together at the Dawson City Museum for some time and remained in contact for years after I left Dawson. I have so many great memories of Cheryl. When things were hectic or going wrong, one of her looks and we would both crack up. Took many beautiful photos of her and treasure the letters she sent years ago. What a truly special soul. She certainly enriched my life.
