Condolences
I knew Ron first as a neighborhood and then as a friend. He was the type of person that would help with anything that he could. He jumped with basement bedrooms for our two girls. Ron encouraged my husband Allan to purchase his own gravel truck and that was the best decision he made, thanks to Ron.
Ron and Rosemary were meant for each other. You could see that whenever they were together, they shined brighter that way.
Ron faced challenges with Rosemary by his side. I can remember when he had to trade in his cowboy boots for runners, it was not something that he did easily.
He will be missed and will always be in my thoughts, both Ron and Rosemary.
My condolences to the family. Rest in peace Ron.
I met Ron about 40 years ago at the Petrocan on Centre Avenue NE. We were introduced by the owner Bernie Scoville. Our friendship developed over cups of coffee and trying to outdo each other with jokes as we fueled up our trucks. When I purchased a crane truck and got a parking spot in south Calgary at Shell Equipment yard we lost touch for a short time. Contact was made again not long after I moved when Ron drove into the yard and parked beside me. We were all together again. We shared many laughs when one of Ron’s drivers parked a yellow school bus in Schell’s yard and lived in it Such a classy home! We kept in touch in recent years mostly by phone but always enjoyed reminiscing about all our “trucking” experiences. As Ron’s illness progressed we were limited in our conversations and I know I will always miss them. Thanks to Rose for the updates regarding his health when it became too difficult to chat on the phone. Rest In Peace Ron!

My sincere condolences to both Rosemary's and all of Ron's families. I had the pleasure to be Ron and Rosemary's neibour for a number of years in Calgary, before I had to move. I spent numerous times chatting with both of them and helping fix a few things on their trucks and good conversation and company. They are/were both good people, neibours. I miss them. Rest In Peace Ron............
Our sincere condolences to Rose and Ron’s family.
Approximately 40 great years of having Ron come into my place of work to buy parts for his trucks. Ron was always a pleasure to deal with. During these visits we became good friends outside work. Always smiling and joking around. Thanks for all the wonderful memories.
