Obituary of Robert Gordon Brereton

Robert “Bob” Brereton of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at the age of 76 years.

Bob was a lifelong resident of Calgary, AB. After high school, Bob began work for the City of Calgary where he stayed for 40 years as District Supervisor of Central Parks, before retiring in 2011.

Bob is survived by his first cousins, Matt Brereton and Brenda (Brereton) Dean, their children, and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Gord and Thelma.

Bob had many friends with whom he shared countless good times and who were much saddened by his unexpected passing. He was a very caring person who helped many people, including the homeless and those struggling with addiction, by providing food and trying to set them on a better path.

Bob will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all.
