I was honoured and privileged to meet Leslie "Peacock" at the
Southland Leisure pool. We swam together for a number
of years and each day was joyous hearing her laugh and listening to her wonderful stories. She was kind and giving, warm and friendly. She always made me feel happy and was always interested in me as a human being. Her respect and love and laughter is a gift I will always carry with me. I loved our offer and lunch dates and we would howl at the craziness of life and our loved ones.
I will miss Leslie as she was a gift to me and a true friend. rest in eace dear LEs and know that you are much loved.
