Condolences

Coreen led two mission trips that I was on, and one online mission 'trip'. I felt so secure knowing that she was in charge. I knew from the moment I was introduced to her as our leader that our team was in the best of hands. On those trips I saw how she was such an encouragement to the team, the people we met, and to myself personally. I remember a heart to heart conversation we had where I felt so safe sharing with her and so encouraged by what she said. I feel like I will never be able to believe that her life came to an end so soon. But this life is a temporary home and there is comfort knowing that Coreen is in her Everlasting glory with Jesus now. She would want us all to know just how much joy there is in being immersed in God's presence and love.
To Coreen's family, I pray for God's comfort beyond understanding for you. She is and will be greatly missed.
Coreen and I did very little together but did much alongside each other. She was the person who cried with me over the refugees who we couldn’t help. We prayed, where our hands were not enough. I celebrated her backyard chickens and vanilla extract and deer sausage and we shared gardening and recipes.
We each adopted people into our families and knew we were richer for what they brought to our lives.
Simply said, We loved Jesus together. I will deeply feel this loss of a kindred spirit. Coreen I know you are laughing and exuberantly taking in all of heaven. Until we meet there, you have my love and admiration for all you are and made more beautiful here.
