Condolences
Dear Dave, Andrew and Emily and your lovely grandchildren. Sadly, we just heard about Linda's passing and are so sorry to hear. We have great memories from when you lived in Trail and the many fun times we had together. Linda was such a great sport and open for anything. It's no surprise to read about her travels far and wide. She was adventuresome! And, she was brave doing all that she did and the many travels she enjoyed. She certainly lived life to the fullest and leave behind many wonderful memories. Our hearts go out to all of you. Take care and yes, we still live in the same place in Trail and would love to see you! Love, Ardith and Lorne
Hi Dave & Family - we’re so sorry to hear of Linda’s passing. Sue and I ran with her for many training runs around the res and lots memories of Vancouver, San Diego, and other marathons are so very vivid. Linda was such a positive and encouraging person - she talked me through many long tough runs and we shared a lot of memories, Her laugh was incredibly infectious and impossible to ignore! She will be missed.
Dear Dave, Emily, Andrew and family. Our heartfelt condolences to you. I met Linda running at Glenmore Reservoir and we all had fun planning girls getaways to run "races". I remember we started asking each other, "why do we have to be going running a race, why don't we just go away"..lol..Linda was one of the original members of our book club that has been together for over 20 years. We've enjoyed get ting together at each other's homes to talk about books and whatever else came to mind and catch up on our lives - kids and grandkids. Linda was a part of our golf foursome at Heatherglen Ladies league. Although she had an unorthodox swing, man could she drive a ball off the tee! We will miss her golfing with us and reminding us of the proper etiquette as we played our "girlfriend golf" version of the game....no scorekeeping, picking up balls...it was all about the chance to get out, have fun, talk about our families and have a glass of wine afterwards. She will be sorely missed.
Dear Dave, Andrew, Emily and Family. I was so sad to hear of Linda's passing. Linda was an absolute joy in so many ways. She had the most wonderful laugh and her caring and kind nature made each visit we shared so special. I enjoyed endless training runs on the Glenmore pathways with Linda, most of the time hardly getting a word in as we shared stories of our families and friends. Linda exuded a love of life, joy and laughter that could only be described as contagious to those around her.
I will miss you dearly Linda.
Dear Dave, Andrew, Emily and family,
I'm so very sorry to hear of Linda's passing. I worked with her on Seniors South Homecare. She trained me to take over her AHN position when she retired. She taught me so much and I absolutely loved working with her. She was kind, smart, generous and quick to laugh. She'd march through the office on Fridays greeting everyone with "TGIF!" She spoke often of her kids, she was so proud of Andrew and Emily. She shared pictures of her beautiful grand babies and would laugh out loud sharing videos and funny stories. She had a great laugh! We were able to take golf lessons together at Blue Devil and the following day at work, we'd talk about what we'd learned and how we were going to improve our game. I will think of Linda often, she was a great support to me and gave me confidence and guidance. I'm very thankful I was able to get to know her and I'll miss her greatly.

Our deepest condolences to you, Dave and to Andrew, Emily and the family.
I was lucky to be one of the girls who went on a run weekend with Linda to San Antonio and to be in her book club group for many years. She was kind, thoughtful, witty and quick to laugh…and she sure had a great laugh. She had a special way about her that made you feel like she was interested in what you were doing and it was easy to open up to her. I will miss talking about our kids, getting texts with photos of her granddaughters and thinking of what to make for book club, knowing she loved something sweet.

I had the fortune to meet Linda over 10 years ago while working at AHS. From the moment I met Linda, her friendliness, kindness and positive energy captivated me. Every time I got to see Linda whether at work or outside work she was always fun, upbeat and just a unique wonderful human being. I have always looked up at Linda and hearing the news about her passing has made me very sad. Dearest Linda, you'll always be in my heart and I'll do my best to follow your advice when I am undecided about something I really want to do, I know that If I asked for your opinion and advice you would tell me straight forward what you think, or you would just tell me "Sandra, YOLO!" :)
I am so sorry I didn't get to see you before you decided to leave for heaven. Fly high Linda, we will miss you.
My deepest and sincere condolences to Linda's family and friends.
More than ten years ago I came to Calgary for the stampede and I stayed with Linda and Dave. I collected their newspaper for them in the mornings. And shortly after that I moved to Calgary. I loved every evening and engagement I spent with them and at their home. Linda made a big impression on me and she will always hold a huge place in my heart when I think of my early days in Calgary. When it comes to the best of the best in the city, it's always Linda.

I had the pleasure to know Linda only for a couple years but every time I saw her she brought a lovely energy.
We always had great conversations and she just had this strength and ease about her. Just the most wonderful personality that made me smile! :) She will be missed.
Sending deep condolences to her family and friends.
Linda and I spend many hours running and training for marathons. She was the best run buddy! She was always there, whatever the time or distance. She didn’t get out of bed on a Sunday unless we ran at least 10 kms. She was full of stories and always smiling. Linda usually got overheated while running and we started calling her Hot Linda. She could peel her shirt off while running without losing her hat. A true marathoner skill. I will miss her smiling face and her friendship. My condolences to Dave, Andrew and Emily and all the family. I am lucky to have known her and I will keep you all in my prayers.
Linda was a very special friend to my mother-in-law, Cheryl Smillie, and I cherished their close bond. From the moment I started working with Seniors South ten years ago, Linda embraced me with open arms. She was incredibly sweet and always took the time to check in on my family. I loved listening to her captivating family stories. Whenever you had the chance to work with Linda, you knew it was going to be a good day. Fridays will never be the same at work without her, and if you know the meaning of TGIF, you’ll understand. This is a profound loss for anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Rest in peace, Linda. TGIF ❤️❤️❤️
