Condolences
Doug,
You were like a second father to me. I had known you for more than half of my life. You welcomed me into your family. You supported my proposal to your daughter. I will miss our chats. I will miss the chuckles and your unique sense of humor. Your dogs still wait for you to come home. We still cannot believe you are actually gone. You helped raise an amazing woman (your daughter, Victoria). Even though you were always in pain, not physically able, you were always there to help. I will always admire the connection you had with our oldest (Isabelle). Liam and Isabelle loved you so much. You never missed an important rugby or soccer match. Even if you were not feeling well. The kids will always remember / cherish that. Your grandson scored a goal today on his first shift with his new team. Immediately after the game he teared up and said it that the goal was dedicated to you. We love you, Doug. We will miss you. I promise to take care of your daughter and grandchildren to the best of my ability. Rest in Peace, Doug! The best father in-law i couple have ever asked for!
Remember Doug as a neighbor, friend and part of Kensington Road Covenant Church. My father and Doug's father would often play horseshoes when we often came together. Together we would play games and eat together.
Our last gathering As 4 couples was memorable.
Condolences to Pam and family
