Condolences
I wish to send condolences to Diane's family and especially to Gary.
Diane has been my friend since the 1950s, and my husband Ray and I have spent time with
her and Gary many times over the years, notably in Hong Kong and Nanjing, as well as in Calgary and Edmonton.
We have always been impressed with Diane's courage and tireless intelligence.
She loved watching the Blue Jays games on TV!
Dear Gary and family.
I am truly sorry for your loss of a dear wife, mother, and grandmother. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
Diane was such an inspiration to me and our fellow BSF colleagues of her commitment, dedication, and passion for serving the Lord faithfully. She was always happy and full of smiles for all. She was an amazing woman. She is now with her Lord free from the disease that held her body captive all these years, but free in the Lord’s presence. I look forward to seeing her dancing in heaven with her hands raised up high praising her God and Lord.
Blessings,
May de Souza
Dear Gary and family, We are thinking of you and praying for you as you mourn for your wife, mother, grandmother.
Gary, you made it possible for my mother (Anne Buchan) to enjoy many happy card games with Diane. Mom so looked forward to those convivial afternoons! She loved Diane, and admired her deep faith and kind hospitality. Diane truly loved her neighbour as herself! May she rest in peace and rise in glory!
With love, Judy (Buchan) and James Robinson
Diane was such a lovely person- kind, happy and welcoming. Together with Gary, we always felt welcome in their home. Diane will be missed by all who knew her. With deep affection, Jeff and Enza Abbott
Diane, you are such an encouragement to those around you. You smiled at us and were always ready to share your wisdom and your ten word “ Subject sentence” for our weekly homiletics. Thank you for your love and care shown to my grandchildren. They used to look for you and give you hugs before they left BSF. You even delivered a special gift of Bible memory verses book to my house for my grandsons during the pandemic in 2021. God knows all the love and care you invested in so many lives! Rest in peace in the arms of Jesus! Love in Christ, Diana F
I was privileged to have Diane as my BSF group leader several years ago, when she would bring food and treats for us lucky class mates! I have also been lucky enough to have her join my online BSF group for the last 3 years, where her gift for hosting continued with gusto, and it was wonderful to meet Sadifa in person as well.
Diane graciously opened her home to us for fellowship gatherings, and told us stories about the first BSF meetings that were held in that very same house so many years ago. She was so very positive, never letting her lack of mobility hinder her enthusiasm for the Lord, and her shining faith was an inspiration to all. I've been blessed by the time I've spent with Diane, and though saddened at her passing, I'm happy that she is now rejoicing with God in heaven.
Diane, you had been an inspiration, a symbol of faith. Your life impacted many people including myself.
I'm honored to be in your BSF group for 3 years. I know you're now resting in God's loving hands where there is no more pain and tears. One day, we'll join you in the heavenly worship. We'll meet each other again.
