Condolences
I am so sorry for your loss.
I got to work with Lorne on and off for many years and learned so much from him.
He helped mold me into the firefighters I became.
RIP Sir. ❤️❤️
God bless, and go gently into that good night. Joseph Lothian and family.
I worked in the office at Fire Hq. so I didn't get to know Lorn until our CFD pensioners Wednesday morning coffee meeting at South Centre. Lorn was always pleasant, friendly and considerate. I was most disappointed to hear of his passing. He fought a long and courageous battle with his health. I'm sure he will be missed by all those who knew him. Rest in Peace my friend.!
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Lorn. I'm grateful to have had time to visit with him at the reunion in September. Our deepest condolences to Kathleen and family.
So very sorry to hear of Lorn's passing and our thoughts are with your family at this time. Grant and I got to know Lorn during our morning workouts at Trico Centre. He would always greet you with his wonderful smile and a laugh. He will be greatly missed by all of his 'Gym Buddies'! Cheryl & Grant Donnelly
Lorn was the first Captain I had when I joined the Fire Department 24 years ago. He was a kind man and treated me very well. I learned a lot from his humour, quiet wisdom, patience, and experience. He cared about people and that showed every day. I'm thankful for his influence in the early days of my career. Because of Lorn, the world is a better place, and so am I.
Rest in Peace, Lorne. condolences to the family, fellow firefighters and friends'. Lois & Dennis McIvor
Kathleen we are so sorry for your loss. Lorn was the best neighbour ever! Always helping anyone that needed it. It was like a race to see who could get out and shovel the snow first. Rest in peace, Lorn. You are missed.

So sorry, we have lost another "Good One", I like Penny and Bob grew-up together in Bowness. We lived as Penny did down the street from Lorne, he and I would joke that we would throw rocks at each other as I passed by his yard on my way to the Bow Theatre on a Saturday afternoon. We worked at old, old #4 where we would go home, more often than not water logged from the water fights. Hope ST. Peter has some rain gear up there. Ric and Vic Sinclair
Very sad to hear of Lorne’s passing. Lorne was a great class mate (1971) and a proud member of the CFD. My thoughts are with all the family. Rest in peace Lorne.

Lorn, whoever is going to brighten my Sundays ?? you faithfully passed on the funniest jokes that were sent to you. You were always just a really, friendly, good quality guy in the neighborhood and I will so miss you ! Helen Dougall
Dear Kathleen - we are so sad to hear of Lorn's passing. Our families grew up together in Bowness (Soldier's Settlement). Lorn was always very nice and so polite. We looked forward to seeing you both at the FD Retirement Banquet. Lorn was always positive and greeted us with such a big smile. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Please accept our deepest sympathies.

I was so sorry to read of Lorn's passing. He attended several of our HS class reunions in the past. I was so glad to have had the opportunity to chat with he and his wife, Kathleen, at our last reunion in September. My condolences to Kathleen and the rest of the family.
My Dear Brother n Law, Lorn. Lorn was always first to jump in and help. Always a steady keel, rest in peace Lorno.
OMG ! Lorne and I grew up together in Bowness and I remember bringing him to City Hall to apply for the CFD--He became an awesome FireFighter! It was so sad to see him struggle with his health in these last years. Very sorry for your loss Kathleen! So glad we had a visit at the class reunion--he will be missed!
