Condolences
Dad always drove my friends and I skiing at Happy Valley in the 70s. I remember Dad waking me up at 3:30 am, in order to drive
all the way to Lake Louise so I could ski for the day.
He would site in the lodge all day, taking it all in. I would sleep all the way home. lol.
As a young father he was very involved in the Brentwood community he really enjoyed coaching boys baseball.
I remember attending Scout camps with him when I was far younger than the other boys, where he instructed camping skills and firearm safety.
Going camping with the trailer was always great. Our first trailed was a vintage 12 footer. We crammed 5 people in that thing.
One trip, we were coming home from holidays and the axle broke just outside Revelstoke bc. What thrills!
Every summer we would hit Cold Stream Resort at Windermere Lake or to Green Bay Resort Okanogan.. Dad had a 14ft
fishing boat we would load on top of the station wagon.
They were the best of days. What memories we made.
