Condolences
Our condolences to you Diana and families from your neighbor "two doors down" in Bonnyville. Your family was our favourite. We shared a lot of fond memories and are saddened to hear the passing of Kevin. To us Kevin was a "big" teddy bear. Love Gail, Jazz and Jody.
I was shocked and saddened to learn only today of Kevin’s passing. He was a key member of the Facilities Engineering team that I assembled for the Kearl and a well respected mentor to many engineers on that project and at Imperial Oil. You have my deepest sympathies. Gone far too soon, he will be missed.
Jim Suggett
I was saddened to hear of Kevin’s passing. I knew Kevin as a friend during our years studying engineering at Memorial University, and remember his ready smile, sense of humour, and always positive attitude. I’m so sorry for the loss of your husband and father. Please know that he will live on in the fond memories of all who knew him.
So sorry for your loss. Condolences to Kevin's family from a classmate of the Mechanical Engineering class of '80.
To Diana and Family,
Very sad to hear of Kevin’s passing. Please accept my condolences.
Dave Richards- Class of ‘80
So sorry for your loss. Condolences to you and your family
I’m so sad to hear of Kevin’s passing and my condolences to you Mary and family. Kevin was a wonderful human all around. An amazing mentor to so many engineers at Imperial. Always a smile on his face and an infectious laugh. I first met Kevin in the early 2000s when he moved back to Calgary from Cold Lake. He taught me many things, was a trusted and respected mentor and I am certain I must’ve had hundreds of werthers candies from his office over the years. He will truly be missed but not forgotten by all who knew him.
There are no words to adequately express the sadness I felt when I heard of Kevin’s passing. I was a classmate & my recollections of Kevin are of an intelligent, warm, fair, gentle soul bursting with integrity. He was an example to us all. I will never know another like Kevin, but his spirit will forever live on in the memories we all will forever cherish.
My thoughts & prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

Condolences to family and friends during this time. An untimely death much too early. RIP to Kevin. I have fond memories of Kevin from the class of '80. Glad to see that you road out the rest of your life continuing to be a true gentleman as your beautiful obit tribute underscores.

My condolences to Diana and family on the loss of Kevin. I first met Kevin when he was working at Cold Lake, and I gained a great deal of respect for him as an engineer and person. He was an important member of numerous hazard and operability reviews that we conducted for Cold Lake facilities and later for conventional operations facilities after he moved to Calgary. He was a great team member and mentor.
Diana, John and I were so sad to hear about Kevin’s passing. As classmates , John and Kevin shared many student experiences and hijinks. We have many fond memories of our visits back and forth to Cold Lake when we all were newly married and embarking on our adventures out west, including Kevin’s ingenuity in setting up a TV trying to watch a playoff hockey game while out camping.
Our heartfelt prayers for you and your family.
Colleen and John Fitzpatrick
Wonderful thoughts from the Fawcett family. Mary and Bronwyn were friends for many years and I remember many times as parents with our kids. Much too soon Diana. Our thoughts are with you all.
Diana
We were shocked and saddened to hear of “Keb’s” sudden passing. Many fond memories of growing up in Buchans. I especially remember his father calling us Sheila and Shirley in our long hair days. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this difficult time.

I was fortunate enough to meet Kevin when he joined the Hamptons Golf Club.
I played many rounds with him and on a couple of occasions we partnered together in Senior Men’s Interclub matches.
I particularly enjoyed his company and we would often talk about his beloved ‘Oilers’
My sincere condolences to the family.
He will be missed!

Kevin and I worked together in the Texaco office in Edmonton in 1982, before we dispersed after the Imperial Oil merger in 1988. Kevin was a great person, Engineer, colleague and Sports fan. Our team was made up of 80% young engineers and techs which resulted in lots of laughs at our hockey drafts, office flag football games, etc. Kevin loved the Oilers…and always let the non Oilers fans know who was the best team (especially the Buffalo and Calgary fans) When he first brought Diana to the office we all stopped in our tracks…Big Kevin and there was “lil” Diana. Quite the contrast in height but a “wonderful” girl.
Diana, may God give you and the family strength and RIP Kevin (KDH) Go Oil!!!

My sincere condolences to the whole family on Kevin’s death. I met Kevin and worked with him in the early 90’s in Cold Lake. He taught this young field engineer plenty. Later in our careers together, Kevin was considered one of our most valuable senior facilities engineers and was a critical cog in our Cold Lake operation. May you find strength in your faith, family and friends at this time……MDT
Sending lots of love to all the family from myself, Carl and dad. Kevin was a wonderful person taken much too soon. You are all in our thoughts and prayers and we ask that God give you strength during this difficult time. Take care and God Bless! Xxoo
When I first started at Imperial in 2014 it was my first time at the big corporation and Kevin was the nicest, most caring and truly excellent engineer and human to me throughout my term as a student. It is people like Kevin who inspired me to be who I am today and I was honored to play golf with Kevin at the Hamptons! Kevin you left a great impact on this world and I send my deepest condolences to your family and everyone who loved you!
Kevin and I began work together during the Oiler dynasty of the eighties at the old Texaco Canada office in Edmonton, lots of fun conversations on Oilers vs. Flames. Many fond memories of playing golf, hockey and flag football with the big guy. Great engineer, great person...........RIP Kevin.
Kevin worked for me in IOL before he retired, and I will never ever forget the emotional talk we had at his farewell lunch.... He was an awesome mentor for me and many others in our group...above that, he was just a great human being with whom I connected instantly and he commanded love and respect from all with whom he interacted. His infectious smile, ability to take people along...has been missed by us since his retirement. I will forever cherish those golfing outings with him....Kevin, you will be missed by many....RIP! My prayers and love to Diana and family, to have the courage and strength in days ahead.
Kevin was my oldest cousin. I always looked up to him growing up as he was brilliant and so kind to us. We had so much fun as kids at family get togethers and functions. I always loved to see him and his beautiful family whenever they would visit Newfoundland over the years. My heart breaks for you all during this devastating time in your lives. He was the best and will be missed by so many xoxo
Diana, David, Jennifer, Mary and families,
We are heartbroken and so deeply sorry for your loss. I have such wonderful memories of “Kebby/Keb” as we called him growing up in Buchans. From Christmas visits…..our house, to his house, on to the O’Toole’s and the Wadden’s and even the Teacher’s Hostile and the Lions Club, where we would have family visits. Every night was filled with fun and frolic of cousins getting together to celebrate the season…then to hockey and Reach for the Top. So many special memories that I will remember and cherish for a lifetime. Rest easy now dear cousin Kevin, you are now pain free. Sending you all deepest sympathies, much love, and prayers of strength, peace and comfort in the days ahead Diana and family, as well as to you and your family Bobby and Janet. Love you all so much.
Tracey and Jeff

My deepest condolences to Diana and family. In my earlier years, I spent several summers in Buchans with my extended Head, Power, Chaplin, and Hunt families. I shared some good times and made good memories with Kev, Bobby, my Aunt Ruie, and Uncle Kevin. May you rest in peace, Kevin. Rick Power
