I was saddened to learn of Candace's passing. She was an amazing woman and loved her friends deeply. We shared some time together a number of years ago, and I got to know her on a deeper level. She was open, and honest, and caring. Rest easy, beautiful lady. Until we meet again.

I was very sad to hear that my special step-sister has passed away.

Candace has a special place in my heart, and her death has left an emptiness within me, as we shared a unique connection. We got to know each other when my father, her step-father, died back in 1995. At that time, I had many questions for Candace and she was open and willing to answer them. We realized how much we had in common. I don’t think she ever knew how much I enjoyed and appreciated all our conversations which helped me to understand my own family history; she filled in the blanks. After all the years of only speaking on the phone, in August of 2022 we finally met in person, that was special.

I will miss her and her deep laughter that was from the heart, as well as her honest and direct way of speaking, there was no pretence with Candace.

My deepest condolences to all the family and friends that loved Candace.

I am so very sorry for the Kermode’s and Candace’s family. I remember Candace as the “cool” Aunty when I spent time as a child at Rhonda’s house. So very loved by Rhonda ❤️ biggest hugs to you all.
