Hello Allana, you probably don’t recognize my name but I am Marjory Crawford’s daughter. I enjoyed meeting both you and your mom at the last War Brides Reunion. I am sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing and I know mom is as well. Kathy was a special friend to mom and they spent many happy times together and chatting on the phone. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you go through this difficult time.

Aunty Kathy was a very special Aunt. When we moved to Calgary 33 years ago Aunty Kay, Uncle Allan and all the cousins welcomed us into their family.

Aunty Kay was an amazing lady who thoroughly enjoyed doing some truly remarkable things such as painting, family tree, paper toll, and her war brides group.

After the war she came to Canada through Pier 51 in Halifax and on to the west to meet her new family. I believe this must have taken tremendous courage to have done this all alone. Kathy Crowe is an extraordinary lady and will be sorely missed by all who loved her. We love you Aunty Kay.

We really enjoyed meeting Kathleen at the Deazevedo home. She was always calm, intelligent and happy. Thank you Kathleen for bringing Allana and Tony into our lives.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I always felt welcome at your house and your mom was a big part of that. She was a wonderful and happy women and will be missed.
