Condolences
A Tribute to My Friend, In the last decade of Phil’s life he gave to me recipes, songs, humor, political insight & History of days & years gone past!! In the present he faced his health with strength & fortitude! He accepted , challenged his limitations with a SMILE & SHARING of WISDOM. I will miss hearing him say “What Say You?” The twinkle in his eye! The laugh that jiggled his tummy! The way he poured his coffee! To sum it up ….my life was enhanced by the man named “PHIL”. Rest in Peace our Friend!Lee & Colleen Matheson
Today,Jan.2 I received a call from Sandra Hanson telling us about Phillip's passing. It brought back many memories of all the hours I spent in the Bosomworth home while taking piano lessons from Phyllis. Following the lesson we would play together with Phillip and his sisters Ruthie and Mary until it was time to go home and "practice !!"
Phillip was fun, kind and full of ideas! Then we all grew up and went our separate ways. The next time I saw him was at a funeral and here was this most distinguished gentleman speaking to me! I am glad he had a good life, able to do what he enjoyed..
Sending our sympathy to his family and Mary at this sad time. Unfortunately we are both sick with a bug so cannot attend the service! Most sincerely, Linda (Weiss) and Gerald Gatez
Phillip and I were neighbours in Yankee Valley and I knew him from those early days.
I always enjoyed his mechanical abilities and the fun he had doing them.
My condolences to his family

I met Phil when I started volunteering at Red Deer Cruise Night in 2012. I was there prior but shy to do anything at first. Phil always came in with a smile and made sure that even after a bad day you would be smiling. Always one for jokes to make you smile and hugs to free your soul. Even when his health wasn’t the best he would make sure he was at Red Deer Cruise Night. Will miss him dearly in the upcoming season especially his smile that brightened every one’s day. Rest In Peace Phil

Metting Phillip was a blessing to me His smile and passion for music, American History, His high level of intelligence, and humor kept me amused He will be greatly missed. My condolences to His Family and loves ones.
I had the privilege of getting to know Phil in his last couple years. We talked about music, guitars, Mopars and past experiences. He often had a story to share which got me thinking. He had a wealth of knowledge. He treated others with respect and even when he didn't feel well he still made the effort to be kind. I will miss you Phil.
We are saddened to lose our dear Canadian friend of 20 years. We became instant friends in Apache Junction, AZ, playing cards, sharing a birthday, dinners, and traveling together. Keep on playing your guitar and singing in the big sky.
It breaks my heart to say goodbye to my dear friend Phil. We had many adventures going to car shows and nerd nights. He always called me Chevy and I got alot of teasing driving both of his dodges, but we had a blast.
He will be greatly missed by our close car group.
Pedal to the metal Phil. We know Herb is waiting for you to go cruising.
My deepest condolences to the family. We all loved him
