Obituary of Phillip Bowes Bosomworth

Phil Bosomworth of Red Deer, AB, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the age of 80 years.
Phil was born on March 17, 1944, in Calgary, AB, to Eric and Phyllis Bosomworth.
Growing up on a farm in Yankee Valley, he attended and graduated from Kathyrn School.
After graduating, Phil began working in the oilfield, starting out in the seismic industry and then moving on to the drilling rigs. He worked for Hi-Tower Drilling through to Precision Drilling, where he spent 37 years before retiring.
Phil married Gloria Schmuland on December 1, 1984, and they shared twenty-six wonderful years together.
On retirement, Phil and Gloria spent many years travelling in their motorhome. Settling down and buying a home in Apache Junction, AZ, for the winter months.
Phil enjoyed his classic Dodge cars, which he proudly showed off each week at the Red Deer Cruise Night and local car shows. He also enjoyed attending local jam sessions, singing and playing his guitar. Phil also had a passion for all sports. Never missing a New York Yankees game.
Phil is survived by his daughter, Jackie Leonard of Edmonton, AB; his three sons and two daughters-in-law, Justin (Jo-Ann) Perschbacher of Rocky Mountain House, AB, Warren Perschbacher of Red Deer, AB, Jeff (Michelle) Bosomworth of Red Deer, AB; his three grandchildren, Skyler and Tristan Perschbacher, and Bryce Bosomworth.
Phil is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Mary (Gordon) Meggison of Calgary, AB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Phil was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Bosomworth, his father, Eric Bosomworth, his mother, Phyllis Bosomworth and his sister, Ruth Evans.
Funeral Services will be held at Lutheran Church of the Master (216 Main Street SE, Airdrie, AB) on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Airdrie Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Church Hall.
