Condolences
I have known Dwayne since junior high school, and also had the pleasure of working with him in the oil and gas industry. In all that time I cannot recall a time when he lost his temper. He had such a calm thoughtful approach to life, which inspired and motivated others around him. He will be missed.
Dwayne was a person of exceptional human quality. Always cheerful and positive, he had a unique ability to inspire the Madalena team with his enthusiasm and relentless drive to move forward. His energy was truly inspiring—a force that united and motivated everyone fortunate enough to know him.
In his last message, after a long time without speaking with him, he conveyed a profound sense of peace—a serenity that only those who truly understand the essence of life possess. He was happy, fulfilled, and that is how I will always remember him.
Dwayne passed, taking with him a part of those who had the pleasure of sharing dreams.
Dwayne always uphold the value of one’s word—whether in a purely technical discussion or during a deal, regardless of the stakes or personal gain. He was generous, sharp, retentive, keen wit and with bulletproof sense of humor.
Having lived in numerous countries, in addition to his beloved Canada, he always held a special place in his heart for Argentina. He founded companies and held leadership roles in operators like Antrim, and during the early years of Madalena. Through these roles, he drove the development of Vaca Muerta, recognizing its value long before most.
His last endeavor was NRG. My deepest gratitude for his trust from the very beginning and for continuing to support it until the very end, despite the obstacles and underhanded attacks that arose once the project began to take shape.
His passing was premature, though it would have felt the same even ten years later. But in these 68, Dwayne achieved so much, building a wonderful family and lifelong friendships, that death found him fulfilled, with no unfinished business. He faced it with the composure and wisdom that only the truly great possess. Thank you Dwayne ! We will miss you !
We deeply regret the passing of Dwayne Warkentin, founding shareholder of NRG and fundamental pillar of the company since its beginnings.
Dwayne was a guide and source of inspiration for all of us, generously offering all his experience in the industry for the growth of the organization.
We accompany his family and loved ones in this difficult time.
NRG Argentina S.A.
