Obituary of Charles Patrick Dodsley

Patrick Dodsley, beloved husband of Maria Dodsley (nee Kasprzak), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the age of 73 years.

Pat was born in Loscoe, Derbyshire, UK, on October 6, 1951. He moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in 1979, with his wife and children, Amanda Jayne and Neil Patrick.

Pat was a long-time employee of the Calgary School Board. After he retired from the school board, he started his own company working for the Calgary Arts Academy.

Pat married Maria in March 1973. They have two children together, Jayne and Neil, along with four grandchildren, James, Logan, Amelia, and Oliver.

Pat’s heart and soul belonged to Nottingham Forest Football Club and the England National team. He was extremely passionate about football (soccer).

Pat is also survived by his older sister Viv, brother-in-law Herbert, and sister-in-law Shelley in the UK. Also, nieces, and extended family members in the UK.

A celebration of Pat's life will be held at a later date.
