Obituary of Gilbert Gordon Adams

Gilbert ‘Gil” Adams of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the age of 97 years.
Gil was born in Hodgeville, SK, on December 1, 1927. Gil received his pilot’s license at the Winnipeg Flying Club. After barnstorming and parachute jumping, Gil flew in the bush for two years and then was employed by TCA in 1950. Gil flew for TCA–Air Canada for thirty years. In his early years of aviation, prior to flying commercially, he won the Mid-West Webster flying competition trophy.
Gil is survived by his loving wife Eva, of 51 years, and his children, Phil, Greg, Randy; and sister Ruth, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Gil was predeceased by his parents Martha Adams and father Fredrich Adams.
Funeral Services will be held at First Alliance Church (12345 – 40th Street S.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Harvest Room at the Church.
