June 7, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta
Glee beloved wife of Jim Holden of Calgary, AB, passed away on June 7, 2014 at the age of 69 years.
Glee was born and raised in Moose Jaw, SK where she attended secretarial college. Glee moved to Calgary where she met Jim and they were married on May 15, 1981 and spent 33 love filled years together. Glee loved to volunteer for minor hockey, and was a member of the CWL at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. She also helped coordinate the Mayor’s Environment Expo when she worked for the City of Calgary. Glee loved dogs, especially Brittany Spaniels, and to cook for her family. Her biggest passion in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother, and giving the best hugs ever. She will be missed dearly by all those that knew her.
Besides her loving husband, Glee is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Silke Holden; daughter-in-law, Kim MacKinnon ; grandchildren Ben, Mia, Madison; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Garry Steel; nieces and nephew, Richard, Shelley (Jason Cornford) and Robin; and her great niece, Chancey Steel, (Matthias Jobs and their son Dominic Steel-Jobs), and great nephew Devin Cote. She was predeceased by her son, Michael and her niece, Nadine.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), today, June 10, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church (711 – 37th Street N.W.) on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow the Service. Condolences may be forwarded through .
