I adored Mary, who of course, adored Andrew. I knew him as a gentle man of great spirit, who always shared the twinkle in Mary’s eyes.
It was a pleasure to have known them both.
My condolences to you, the family of Andrew Ungar. I knew Andrew thorugh St. Sanrew’s United Church. He was a fatithful attender. He and Mary used to play birdge and I also knew him when playing there. I always had respect for him.
My condolences to you the family of Andrew Ungar. I knew Andrew and Mary through St. Andrew’s United Church. They were faithful attenders, and Andrew as well, after Mary died. I always had respect for him.
My heartfelt condolence to Andrew’s family at his sudden demise. I was his bridge partner lately for almost two years. He was a most generous and decent human being. I am glad I got to know him though for such a short time. I will miss him. May God rest his soul in eternal peace.
I played bridge with your dad. He told me many stories about his younger life. He was avery determined bridge player and was fun to play with. I will miss him at the club. I am out of the country so will be unable to attend his service but my thoughts are with you. Sandy
Remembering Andrew
A message to Richard and Garnet Ungar and Anna (Panni) Ban
and their families
The last time we met was the afternoon of June 4, 2013 when he came to see us while he was visiting with Richard, Karen and the boys.
During the conversation he said the first best thing he ever did was to leave Hungary and come to Canada and the second best thing he ever did was to marry Mary.
He had pictures of the families of Richard and Garnet which he was pleased to show and to talk about the accomplishments of the young people. He was a dedicated family man and a true friend, he will be missed.
