Condolences
May all your happy memories comfort you in these sad days.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Bob was always fun to be with whether at a party, at the beach, camping or curling. He was famous (infamous?) for his special musical talent ~ playing spoons! He will be greatly missed. Our sympathy to Charlotte and family. Ross and Ellenore Campbell
We are so sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. We will never forget the good times we shared with Bob an Charlotte in Libya, especially the homemade wine tastings together with good food and good friends. Our sympathy to you Charlotte and family. Doris and Eric Sennhauser
Bob, sometimes known as Crash McManus in the exploration department of Mobil Oil Canada for his time spent in a roadside ditch near Whitecourt Alberta, was a dear friend. Over the course of more than 50 years we spent family camping vacations together at West Bank and at Shuswap Lake, B.C. Bob excelled and was socially competitive in a wide variety of sporting activities – hockey, skiing, golfing, and if you were a Ping-Pong player, Bob would challenge you to that also. It was only a ‘tippy’ canoe that got the best of Bob’s dexterity. Yes, Bob was on his best social behavior when playing the spoons – any spoons he could find in your kitchen.
We will miss him.
Charlotte, our thoughts are with you and your family due to both your, and our loss, of “one great guy”. It was a pleasure in the 50’s to associate with him at MCMT, and a welcome pleasure to be able to renew that association when we moved to Calgary in the mid-70’s.
When sad times hit it is always easier to remember all the good times. And Charlotte, we always had good times when Bob was present. Although he was a husband, father, brother and nurturer of grandchildren, who will ever forget his uncanny ability to make music with spoons! I know you have lots of family who will miss the old Geologist but he will be missed just as much by his Michigan Tech team mates and friends.
You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time of sadness.
May your many memories of good times with Bob sustain you.
From a fellow Mich-Tech hockey player,

The McManus household was always a place of love and happiness when I was growing up. My memories of Canada Day are always tied to the birthday celebrations in your home. We send our deepest condolences and prayers of support to you all.
