Obituary of Robert Bob Michael MCMANUS

July 1, 1930 – North Bay, ON October 4, 2013 – Calgary, AB We are very saddened to announce the passing of our beloved husband and father Bob McManus on Friday, October 4, 2013 at the age of 83 years. Bob was born in North Bay, ON and spent four years in the seminary before being recruited to Michigan Tech as their goaltender. He was a Michigan Tech All-Star, and earned a degree in Geological Engineering. Bob was later inducted into their Hockey Hall of Fame. His career brought him to Calgary where he worked for Mobil Oil and Dome Petroleum. Bob made Calgary his home for almost fifty-six years, making many happy memories with his family of five children which will be cherished and shared for generations to come. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife of fifty-seven years, Charlotte; children Lynn (Nick) Bukacek, Lorne (Catrina) McManus, Noreen (Donny) Stuart, Barb (Perry) McManus, and Michelle (Mark) Petros; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister Patsy (Dan) Kennedy and brother Jack (Mona) McManus. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W.) on Thursday October 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
