Obituary of Marshal Harley PAULO

1948 – Preeceville, SK 2013 – Calgary, AB Marshal Paulo, beloved husband of Rita Paulo of Calgary, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 22, 2013, at the age of 64 years. Besides his loving wife of forty years, Marshal is survived by nephews, Wayne (Brenda) O’Neil, Mark Paulo, George (Pat) Paulo, Allan Paulo, Lonnie (Valerie) Unger, Karlin (Tiffany) Unger; nieces, Brenda (Ian) Paulo-Begg, Maggie (Mitch) Burtnick, Dondi Unger and their families; mother-in-law Linda Hamm and sisters-in-law, Rolande Paulo and Janice (Pete) Unger. He was predeceased by his parents Mike and Pauline Paulo; brother George and father-in-law Alex Hamm. Marshal and Rita moved to Calgary from Saskatoon in 1976 when Marshal was hired as an accident investigator for Transport Canada through the University of Calgary, Health Science Department. In 1979, he began his own company Collision Analysis. He provided expert consulting throughout Canada and the United States. Through his travels he met many people and formed many long lasting friendships. His interests were many from boating in Marina del Rey, California, to hunting and farming in Saskatchewan. His retirement in 2010 allowed him to work on 31 years of accumulated projects. He frequently wondered how he had found time to work. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was busy preparing for several travel adventures when God called him home. We appreciate all the efforts of an unknown angel at the side of the road on Thursday, July 18th, who performed CPR and called EMS after Marshal experienced a cardiac arrest. However, even the tremendous efforts of the wonderful staff at Foothills Hospital ER and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit could not save him. He will be forever in our hearts. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
