Lisa, Trevor & Carla,
There is nothing I can say that will lessen the pain of your loss. I have the fondest memories of Alan as a family member and as a friend. He was a man of principle, with a wonder full sense of humor, and an absolute gentleman in every respect. Sadly, your loss is my loss.
Vic
We send our sincere condolences on the loss of Alan. His ever present smile and willingness to enthusiastically and very knowledgeably discuss a seismic processing concept or problem will be sadly missed. The Doodlespiel rivalry will not be the same without Alan and we will all miss him.
Fred and Colleen
Lisa, Carla and Trevor
We hope your love and fond memories will help you through this difficult time. We send our deepest condolences.

When Alan and Alice were children they would come visit our family in Waterton Park. What I remember the most was the fun times we had at Thanks Giving dinner’s, either in Waterton or Coleman.
Even though everyone moved on every once in a while our paths would cross.
I write this with a heavy heart.
Sandra and Brent offer condolences to
Lisa, Family and Alice.

Allan will be sadly missed in many circles for his sense of humour and willingness to help and participate. My thoughts and condelence go out to the family.
Lisa;
Please accept my sincere wishes of sympathy to your and your family at this time.
Alan and I knew each other since he started at Kelman Seismic in 1991 and then becoming a Business Partner at Edge in 2002.
Alan was trusted and respected for his knowledge and experience in the Geophysical Processing Industry.
On a personal side, Alan always talked about the milestones in your lives, and he showed great pride in Carla and Trevor’s accomplishments. Alan was very excited about the upcoming wedding next summer.
He will be missed.
Kindest Regards
Garry
Lisa,
We will always remember the good times Rachael and I had with you and Alan, while Alan and I worked together at Veritas.

I enjoyed every moment working with Alan. I will miss him very much.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
I was sad to hear the news of Alan’s passing. I seen Alan around the curling rink the past number of years and did have the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Alan at the Mavericks golf event this past June, he was a really nice guy. My thoughts and prayers are with all his family & friends during this most difficult time.
It was with shock and much sadness that I learned of Alan’s passing. I knew him through work but will remember him most as a wonderful competitor at the Doodlespiel. He will be missed both on the ice and off. My deepest sympathy to Lisa, Trevor, Carla and Alice.
Lisa, Carla and Trevor,

Barb, Dale and Jeff
I met Alan through curling and, as a long time member of the Maverick Curling Club, always looked forward to our Friday postmortems after the game. Al always had the greatest stories and his deep empathy for all about him was evident. I will miss him so very much.
I’m so sorry to hear of Alan’s passing. I was up at the top of the mountain that day. Everyone was hoping and praying. There were many people who were heroes that day trying to save him, and staying by his side while waiting for the helicopter rescue. As a young geophysicist I never got the chance to meet him but it’s a sad day for the loss of one of our community. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
I am very sorry to hear of Alan’s passing. My sincere condolences to you and your family.
Lisa — My deepest condolences to you and your family. I know Rob had high respect for Alan professionally, and I always enjoyed it when the geophysical community brought us together as couples. I regret being unable to attend on Saturday, but please know that you will all be in my thoughts.
Karen Shugg
Our sincere condolences to Lisa, Trevor and Carla on your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we hope that the wonderful memories you have of Alan will sustain you through this time of deep sorrow.
Lisa Trevor and Carla – we were all very sad to hear of the passing of Alan.
He was such a lovely man always in great humor. I remember the time Trevor’s car was stolen and the police were taking their sweet time returning it. I spoke with Alan on the phone and he said Trevor does not mind at all as he is driving my car and I am on the bus. We had a good laugh about that and the city’s finest returned the car over the next few days. Alan was always kind to my daughter Megan and to our family. You will all miss him terribly. We are thinking of all of you at this sad sad time.
Lisa ,Trevor & Carla We were very shocked and saddned to hear of your loss. You have our deepest sympathies and condolences. Our thoughts are with you even as far away as New Brunswick.
Lisa, Carla & Trevor, & Alice,
I am so sorry for your loss, no words can express. You are all in my thoughts.
Much Love,
Ellie
Lisa, our deepest condolences on this sudden and unexpected news. Alan was a unique and special person and I will miss him dearly as well. From Erica and I our prayers are with you and your family.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I enjoyed many years curling with and against Alan and serving on committees within the CSEG. He will be missed by many. – Gary James
So very, very sorry and sad to hear of Alan’s untimely passing. I have known Alan for many years, worked with him at Arcis for a while, attended many Doodlespiels with him, served on that committee with him. Alan was always very friendly, happy, jovial fellow. All who knew Alan would say he was a good man. We cannot attend the service in person (a long-planned family event out of town). Alan – and you his family – will be in our thoughts and prayers. May you enjoy many wonderful memories of such a nice person. We shall make a donation in his memory. It seems like I should say more; words fail me. Our deepest sympathies.
I would like to offer my condolences to Allan’s family. I have known Allan many years through the geophysical industry.
I was shocked and very saddened to read of Alan’s passing. I have known Alan for likley 25 years and both golfed and curled with him several times (although he was much better at both). I will miss his infectious smile and his genuine personality. My sincere condolences to his family and closest friends. He was one of the best.
I first met Alan when I started at Veritas back in 1977. I considered him a friend from that time on. Alan was always an interesting and enjoyable person to be around. I will miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
I have known Alan for several years through the Maverick curling league and have been fortunate to have been on his Doodle Spiel team for a number of years as well. I will always remember Alan for his humor, sportsmanship and the energy he brought to the team and to the people around him. I am greatly saddened by his untimely passing and will miss him very much.
I have had the great good fortune to work with Alan during his time at Kelman. As Brock Hassell has so eloquently stated, I too will miss his smile and personality.
Alan will be missed. I would like to offer my condolences to his family and friends.
Lisa,
It has been awhile since I had connected with Alan, but we are very sorry to hear about his passing. Please pass on our regards to your brothers Phil and Ian, and to the rest of the family.
Norm and Arlene Armstrong
We are so sorry to hear of your loss. We have fond memories of curling with Al and Lisa and the good times we had as a group in Lk Bonavista. We just recently had fun going over some old photos of the curling group at the horse races identifying old friends
Again our deepest sympathy.
Dave and Agnes
I am truly saddened to hear about Alan’s passing and express my sincere condolences to you and your family.
Like many others I have known Alan through the Maverick Curling League and the Doodlespiel. It won’t be the same without him.
I knew Allan, his parents and sister many years ago and have many fond memories of him. Sorry to hear of his passing and send my regrets that I will be away and not be able to attend his funeral.
May your memories sustain you and my thoughts are with you.
Sorry to hear of the passing of Alan, sad that he went way too soon. A fellow curler at Doodlespiels, respected in the industry, and missed by all.
Allan, we were just chatting last week while “Stampeding”. You were always the smiling face and a good conversation, you will be missed my friend.
Lisa & family our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Cindy & Brain McCue
Having known Alan for many years, this will be a different place without him…so sad. Remember the good times!
I am now working in China and have not seen Alan for a couple of years now – but in all my years working in Calgary and even in Houston I enjoyed the curling camaraderie with him at Doodlespiel and other industry events. He always was good for a laugh (or many) and I have many fond memories of Alan. He will be missed…
Connie and I would like to say how sorry we were to hear about Alan’s sudden passing he will be greatly missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Trevor during this difficult time.
Lisa,
Lin and I were very saddened to hear of Alan’s passing.
I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor and friend. He may not have known it but he changed the course of my life. I will miss him greatly.
I was very sad to hear of the death of Alan while hiking on Sunday 14th July 2013. Like him, I spent all of my career from 1977-2011 in Seismic Processing in Calgary and he was well respected in the industry. I worked for him from 2003 – 2006 when employed by Edge Technologies and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I could not have asked for a better “boss”. Practical and conscientious, but at the same time a human being. You have my deepest sympathies at this time.
