1938 – Debrecen, Hungary 2013 – Calgary, Alberta John Ressler passed away suddenly on Friday, May 10, 2013 at the age of 74 years. John was born in Debrecen, Hungary on July 4, 1938 and immigrated to Calgary at the age of 19. After a brief stint in Ontario and Manitoba, John moved back to Calgary in 1979. John’s lengthy career in sales involved many different products, roles and companies, culminating in what many people knew him as today, The Nut Man. Others knew him as an avid bowler, golfer, poker player, and a Kinsmen, but everyone knew him as a great friend. He touched many lives with his outgoing personality, hard-working attitude, easy-going nature, infinite patience, truly positive outlook on life, and a great sense of humor that could fill any room with laughter. John was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all. He will be remembered by his sons Mike (Michele) of Calgary, Steve of Vancouver, his daughter Shelley (Mark) of Vernon, his grandchildren, Kayla and Jared of Calgary, the mother of his children, Eva Pope of Vernon, and his cousin Emese of Debrecen, Hungary.
