Obituary of Charles Edward GAGNE

January 26, 1919 – March 26, 2013 Charles Gagne of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the age of 94 years. Charles was a vibrant, vigorous and humorous man. He lived a long, happy life during which he enjoyed extensive travel, served his country in war-time and gave tremendous loyalty and support to his wife Rose, daughter, Teresa, son Wally and grand-daughter Suzanne. Charles loved to hear and tell a good joke and always looked on the positive, easy-going side of life. He had a warm, compassionate feeling for other people. He easily struck up a conversation with strangers and people responded strongly to his unselfish charm and genuine interest. Charles is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Wally and Sayoko Gagne of Tokyo Japan, granddaughter Suzanne Gagne of Vancouver, BC, extended family members in St. Catherines Ontario, companion Eva Woywitka and her family. He was predeceased by his wife Rose on March 29, 1999 and daughter Teresa Wood. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in the Good Shepherd Cemetery at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
