Condolences
I can't believe my buddy has been gone 10 years!!!! I think of you at least once a day and not only that, I see you everyday as your Pic is on my fridge. Scott, was always such a joy to be around, great sense of humor too. When he smiled or laughed, it rubbed off onto anyone around. Scott passed a week after my birthday and since then everytime I blow candles out, I wish is for Scott.
Life isn't eazy, but lord knows life is hard, especially with issues.(I went to E.W. with him as well lived with him for about a month. Was so joyous during those times) Nobody's perfect, but when huge accidents happen, we can't blame the person who made the mistake , we gotta figure out what to do so it doesn't happen again.
Miss and love you Scott.
Kyle P

Our family misses Scott very much.
His kindness and loyalty were inspiring. Scott never had a bad word about anyone and that is very rare in our world.
Our sadness is in not being able to tell him how meaningful he was to us. We will always remember Scott.

Dear Stokes family,
We were very shocked and saddened to hear of Scott’s passing. We met him in November when we were visiting with our son Shawn and he seemed to be doing so well. Please know that all of our family have you in our thoughts and prayers. Hopefully, knowing that others care will help you with the difficult days ahead.
Dear Stokes family,
I had the pleasure of teaching Scott multiple times in high school. He was mature, intelligent, philosophical and had a wonderful sense of humour and sarcasm. Most importantly – he was just a really nice guy. I apologize for not being able to attend the service today but wanted you to know I was thinking about Scott and the sadness you must all be feeling.
Deepest Sympathies, Shannon Storey
Deepest sympathies to you. Although we did not know Scott, we know his father and his grandfather. Our hearts are heavy thinking of your sadness.
I first met Scott in 1999 when we were in the same fifth grade class and we were classmates until graduation. I will always remember his quick wit and his passion for music. Scott was a truly good person and it is beyond belief that he’s gone so soon.
All my love and condolences,
Megan

Darrell, Ingrid & Sarah words can not express our sorrow to you all at this difficult time. Our deepest thoughts, prayers and condolences to your family from your family in Newfoundland. We can not begin to image what you all are going though. Parents are not supposed to bury their children, it goes against all supposed laws of nature! I remember meeting Scott, Sarah and their Mom when you all were in Newfoundland back the summer of 2000 and again in Feb 2001 when I was in Calgary for Aunt Marg’s funeral. Uncle Don and I both enjoyed that afternoon of site seeing, shopping, dinner, meeting Ingrid’s family and back to your home for pie and a chat. All that seems a life time ago as we all know that nothing stops for or escapes time. Treasure all you family’s memories are they will be with you forever and long after the sorrow and grief becomes bearable and passes.
Our prayers are with you in these times of great sadness.
Dear Ingrid, Darrell and Sarah, we are shocked and saddened by the loss of Scott. Please know that we share your heartache, and offer our sincere condolences to you and all the family.
Thinking of you, Marilyn and Wayne
Scott was one of my first friends in Chestermere. It was a rough patch in my childhood, moving from the community I lived in my whole life to outside of Calgary. Yet it didn’t take long to make friends with Scott, he was smart and witty and always had a poignant one-line response just waiting to slip out. I never got over his comedic timing, and although the move was rough it turned out to be a great year at Conrich.
From the tire swings at recess, our seventh grade indoor soccer team, those Friday afternoon Smash Brothers sessions and our late night conversations over the internet, Scott was always someone I could count on for an honest, whole-hearted conversation, and a good laugh. And he will be dearly missed.
I send my deepest condolences to his family, but I also thank them dearly, for raising such a brilliant man who I was lucky to know.
Darrell, Ingrid and Sarah,
Our heartfelt condolences to your family during this difficult time. Having only met Scott a handful of times at dance competitions, the pride in his little sister Sarah was always evident. Keep your happy memories of Scott close to your hearts during the difficult days ahead.
Sincerely,
Lori Brunelle and Tyra Jarbeau
