Condolences
I was thinking of you guys today (Kay and Ken) and when I tried calling the phone number was out of service and I stumbled on this obituary. So sorry Brenda and Bonnie for your loss. I’ll remember fondly all the visits we had and the good times we shared together. Kay and Ken always treated me like family and I love them both dearly.
I was deeply saddened to find out Ken passed away and will always remember him as a wonderful, cheerful man. He made my day starting with our morning visits at the breakfast table. He brought joy and kindness to other residents and many staff at Auburn Heights retirement residence.
I will miss him dearly and would like to extend my deepest sympathy to his wife and family.
Deep condolences to the Bardell family from Jim and Jean Hamilton and Family.
I am so sorry to hear of Ken’s passing, Kay. Hopefully you remember me. I am Glenda, Joan Laing’s daughter. As an update, Bernie passed away December 28 2007 at 80 years of age. Joan passed away November 2, 2012 at 81 years of age. I still remember when we were neighbours on 2 Avenue N.E and I babysat Brenda and Bonnie from time to time. I am sorry you have lost your husband and best friend. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Glenda Kemp
Dear Kay, Brenda, Bonnie and your families,
My parents Bob and Eileen Laycock have asked me to express our sympathy. Neither one is well enough to see you on Saturday, but they certainly appreciated your friendship and visits over the years. Your Dad always impressed me as being a character, and this was confirmed when my father would tell stories of their escapades on the farm. We know he will be greatly missed. Sincerely, Bob, Eileen & family

Thank you Ken, for showing us what a good Man is. You will be missed
May the comfort of family and friends help you through this difficult time. We were friends with your family when you lived on 2nd Avenue. My Mom’s name was Kay.
I am so sorry to hear of Ken’s passing. Both Kay and Ken helped when I lost my parents and made sure I was well and not alone. For that I will always be great full. My condolences to the family. Ken will live on by all our fond memories.
So sorry!! He was also a wonderful Uncle! Many years ago when I moved to Calgary, he was always there for me! Whether it was directions to get somewhere or to actually take me there! My son Terry Conners spent a lot of time with Uncle Ken & Aunt Kay before & after school while I was working – all 3 had good times together! Every Sunday was dinner at the Bardell house for many years!
Rest In Peace Uncle Ken
