Dear Margaret & Grisdale Family,

Sincerely, Michael (Lydia, Alexis & Chanel) Palmer
At this time I would like to tell Ted’s family a story; It was Christmas time in 1976, the year my first husband Roger McCaig passed away on Christmas Eve – Joan and Don Wilson organized Margaret and Ted to come over to our house and play Santa for my children. It was a very difficult time for my children who were so young and myself. I knew this took away from you, their family to bring happiness to my children when we were totally consumed by the sadness at the loss of my husband and the children’s father. Both Ted and Margaret gave themselves to others and I wanted to share that story with you as it has impacted my life greatly. I often think of that year and as the sadness fades I think of the gift they gave of themselves and their time to my family that Christmas. It was a life well lived and a life shared with so many. My thoughts are with all of you this Christmas Season. I will be making a donation to the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Ted’s name. Sincerely Ann McCaig
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. May you have wonderful memories of Ted in the days ahead.

Marg and family,
There isn’t enough space here to tell you how much Ted meant in our lives. He was an instrumental part associated with our first moving to Edmonton and then onto Calgary to enhance Alberta springboard and platform diving. His positive energy, support of sport activities, interest in the well being of others and of course his love and care for his family are just the tip of a massive and most dynamic life of engagement. He will be missed; however, his legacy of commitment to others and living life to the fullest will be remembered forever.
To all the family of Ted Grisdale, Our deepest sympathy on Teds passing. He was so instrumental in developing our children and their sports. He will long be remembered for his many facets of careing for all he met. Our thoughts are with all of you.
George Noreen Karch and Family
Dear Grisdale family,
We were very saddened to hear about your loss. Although, we didn’t get to know Ted as well as we would of liked the few times that we had the pleasure of his company at Dan and Tamara’s BBQ’s he struck us as one of the most genine and nice people we’d ever met. Our thoughts, prayers and love, are with the whole family at this difficult time.

Ted was a wonderful man, always thinking of friends and his family; he was very involved in our Fundraising Cabinet at Foothills Academy and was instrumental in assisting us in so many ways. Ted will be remembered by us all for his continuous laughter, his genuine spirit of giving, and his undaunted optimism. As his second cousin, I will miss him dearly.
We will miss Ted very much new him for over 40 years and always had a good laugh together along with many rounds of golf

Dear Cousin Margaret, I remember meeting your husband Ted at Cousin Pat’s house in San Francisco and then the fun times we had at the Long’s Anniversary Celebration. I only wish I had connected with you sooner. It was a beautiful write up of Ted’s life and it is obvious how special he was to his community and to you. My love and thoughts are with you along with blessings. His memories will live in the hearts of many. Cousin Joan

Thinking of you,
Margo (Grisdale), Brent, Scott & Dale McMillan
Ted Grisdale…what can we say, he was larger than life, was proud of and passionately loved his wife and sons as well as his daughter-in-laws and grandchildren. Ted always had a story to tell, filled a room with laughter, and always left people feeling happier. He was the first to offer help, kept in close contact with his siblings, family and friends. The world was a better place with Ted in it. His memory will keep us all smiling through this time of sadness. Margaret, John, Dan, Brent and Rob how lucky you were to have such a wonderful person to share your lives with!
I knew this call would come some day and I knew I would remember laughter, compassion, and a man that left behind great memories, love and the world a better place. Thinking of all the family and sending forth our prayers. Lynn & Mike L’Hirondelle
