Obituary of Yolanda Lana Alice MARTELL

September 11, 1956 – October 16, 2012 Yolanda Martell, beloved wife of Joseph Martell passed away in Calgary on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the age of 56 years. Yolanda (Lana) was a warm hearted giving and loving mother, grandmother and wife. She will always be remembered for her outgoing kindness, love, friendships and relationships she anchored and developed with family and friends. All who Lana touched, were awestruck by her giving and entertaining ways. Her zest for life and enthusiasm’s included gardening, homemaking, mothering, grand mothering and giving. Lana’s greatest joys were spending time with her grandchildren, daughters, and planning, preparing and cooking for family and friends. Lana was my loving wife, my best friend and “simply the best”. Our daughters and I will love and miss you always my dear. Lana will be dearly missed by her husband of twenty-four years Joe, daughter Melissa (Lisa) Ferris, grandchildren Dylan and Logan; daughter Karen Ferris (Andres Parra) and granddaughter Tatianna. Lana will also be missed by Bill (Lynn) Kennett, Brent (Lynda) Kennett, Ray (Debbie) Kennett, James D. Martell, Patricia A. Boyd Martell, Jim (Martha) Martell, Joan Martell, Tom (Cathy) Martell and Patrick (Suzanne) Martell. Lana was predeceased by her parents William Jethro Kennett and Edna May Kennett; sister Shirley Anne (Cookie) Kennett; Joan Theresa Martell and Audrey Martell.
