Condolences
I lost my brother-in-law from Calgary this week to a rare form of kidney cancer. He was diagnosed six months ago. We are deeply saddened at his passing but relieved that he is at peace. I did not know Lora, but she sounds like she was a wonderful, loving and caring person. The world would be a much better place if there were more people like her – very inspirational . Cancer is a terrible disease. I would like to thank her for making the lives of many cancer patients and their families more bearable through her courageous and unselfish efforts. My sincere and deepest sympathy to the family. I wish I had the privilege of meeting her.

Owen please know I am thinking of you and the girls and sending my deepest of sympathy to your family. I have the fondest memories of Lora in the times we shared at our quilting retreats and get aways to Vancouver Island. Lora was someone who brought out the best in everyone – she was passionate in everything she tackled whether it was cooking, quilting, volunteer work and most of all her family. She will be missed dearly.
Owen, we are so so sad to hear about Lora. She was way too young and vibrant to lose so young. We’re so sorry.
We remember her in a happy place aboard your sailboat in the Gulf Islands. Hopefully, you and the girls were able to share some happy memories of Lora today at the memorial service.
We are thinking of you and sharing in your grief.
With love,
Lynne and Duncan
