Nancy was a classy lady with high standards and values.
A lady that applied for her book keeping job wearing white gloves. It secured her a job with me in the early 80s. Hiring nancy was one of the best desions I could have made and because of her no nonsence attitude, determination and loyalty the company was able to be successful and withstand some of the setbacks most business endure. I can still picture Nancy slowly walking up to the front door of my company no matter what the weather conditions. She did not drive but this did not detere her from being on time and most of the time arrive early leave late and carry a big bag with work she would complete at home. What ever her interest she would give it more then the 100%. The many years we worked together (over 20) we got to know each other well . No matter how stressful the job would be at times she would always keep me uptodated with her boys and later on the twins she was very proud of them. I got to know the boys well also and have fond memories and the relationship I was able to develop with them. One of the reasons Nancy was able to handle to the stresses of the job so well was that I can’t imagine of anything more difficult then to loose your husband at a young age to become a single mother with a young family moving out west starting all over again without any job prospects. However she did it and set some fine examples for her boys to follow that helped make them the quality people and the success they have made in Calgary’s business community.
I was very lucky to have Nancy in my life and the support and loyalty was always appreciated and will not be forgotten.
SHE WAS A GREAT LADY !
It is with regret that I won’t be able to attend the service as Barbara and I will be leaving for holidays tomorrow.
