Dear Cousins Mary, Herman, Arthur, Aileen & Maybelle & Families:
It is with deep regret to hear of the home going of your beloved Papa & our dear Uncle Henry.
My last meeting with him was during cousin Karen’s wedding last year in Manila. He was jubilant and active. Our family regrets that we could not see or visit him one more time in Canada. It was a desire on our part to plan a trip to Calgary and re-live some old memories with you all of our stay there in 1996.
Uncle Henry was a loving, thoughtful and sacrificial uncle to me and like a grandpa to our children. In spite of his deteriorating health and together with cousin Mary, he braved the challenges of travel in order to be at my Mom’s wake & funeral in 2008. His thoughtfulness is well-remembered.
On the other hand, we are greatly comforted by the fact that Uncle Henry was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and has committed his life to trust and obey Him. We sincerely believe that Uncle Henry is now again joined with his beloved wife and our dear Auntie Siu Tin in eternal bliss in heaven, “safe in the arms of Jesus”. For this, we are all grateful and glad for your family.
May our Lord grant you grace and peace in this time of loss and bereavement and may His comfort bring trust and faith in His Son in the days to come. God bless.
